What We Do

About GATHER

Five ways we walk, gather, and belong together.

GATHER is a rhythm. We weave simple practices into your ordinary life. This is how you walk with Jesus. You care for your neighbours. You tend the ground where you stand. Here's what that looks like for us:

Life Group

We gather fortnightly in homes — sharing food, reading scripture together, and praying for one another and our communities. Small enough to know each other's names. Honest enough to share the hard things. Open to anyone.

Pilgrimage

Several times a year we walk the hills  together. These aren't just a healthy time to be together — they are moving prayers, conversations with God through the landscape, moments of clarity found on the moorland path. No experience needed. Just willingness.

The Camino

Once a year we aim to walk a section of the ancient Camino de Santiago together. Days of steady walking, evenings of conversation around the table, a deep rhythm of prayer and rest. A pilgrimage that has shaped the lives of millions — and might shape yours.

Retreats

We run small residential retreats — a day or weekend away from normal life. Space to be still, to listen, and to rest. Our current retreat base is at Buttermere in the Lake District — one of the most beautiful and quietly powerful places in northern England.

Creation Care

We tend the land around us through regular litter picks and local environmental action, as well as partnerships. This is worship — caring for what God has made, serving our neighbours, and paying attention to the ground beneath our feet.
